Meeting Recap
The fourth meeting of the Four Corners Air Quality Task Force was
held August 9, 2006 in Cortez, CO. Work Groups on Oil & Gas, Power
Plants, Other Sources, Monitoring, and Cumulative Effects continued to
develop new material, which will be added to the Draft Report each
quarter. In brief, nearly half way through the Task Force process the
meeting garnered some 75 participants representing industry, local
government, public interest groups and citizens as well as
representatives from federal, state and tribal agencies. Participation
in the 4CAQTF has increased to 90 Task Force Members and 90 Interested
Parties. Task Force members continue to be enthusiastic about the
process and have developed drafts of some 35 mitigation options papers
so far. These are posted as the
Draft Task Report.
