November 8, 2006 Meeting
Meeting Recap
The fifth face-to-face meeting of the Four Corners Air Quality Task
Force was held November 8, 2006 in Farmington, NM beginning the second
year of a two-year process to develop mitigation options for the Four
Corners area. In brief, half way through the Task Force process the
meeting garnered over 70 participants representing industry, local
government, public interest groups and citizens as well as
representatives from federal, state and tribal agencies.
Participation in the 4CAQTF has increased to 95 Task Force Members
and 105 Interested Parties. We now have about 70 mitigation option
papers. A working draft of the full Task Force Report already is
available on the task force website at:
http://www.nmenv.state.nm.us/aqb/4C/DraftTaskForceReport.html.
The draft report is a compilation of mitigation option papers written
so far by members of the Four Corners Air Quality Task Force. The
agencies involved have not reviewed or adopted these options. The
options will be considered following the completion of the Task Force’s
work.
