Serving Food Safely
This presentation is sponsored by the New Mexico Environment Department with the goal of promoting better food safety for the food service industry in New Mexico and helping you improve your operation and employee knowledge. Topics discussed include microbiology of food, food borne illness, factors that contribute to outbreaks, techniques to prevent food borne illness, temperature control and maintenance, personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing, good food handling practices, and HACCP principles
Pre-registration is required.
Upon completion of the training, certificates will be rewarded to attendees that register in advance.
Food Safety for Food Processors
This training is presented by the New Mexico Environment Department and Northern New Mexico College staff to local food food producers enabling them create value products within a licensed kitchen environment. Food Processors will learn about food microbiology, sanitation, label requirements for packaged foods, and receive a demonstration of the commercial kitchen's equipment.
