Who to Contact Regarding NM Foodborne Illness, Recalls, or Technical Food Issues 
The NMED Food Program delegates staff resources by District. Currently there are three NMED districts.
Use the District Boundaries map below to determine which district you are in, then use the staff contact list next to the map to contact an NMED Food Specialist for any of the following situations:
o You are reporting a food related incident (suspected violation/contamination/illness)
o You are a New Mexico food establishment (business) or consumer affected by a recent recall
o You have a food recall question
o You want to inquire about NMED's free food safety training classes
o You need technical assistance regarding a specific food question
If you have experienced, or know about, an incident involving a food related illness, please use the list below to telephone a NMED Food Specialist immediately. Alternatively, speak with a New Mexico Department of Health infectious disease epidemiologist at (505) 827-0006, available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.
If you have a complaint concerning a food establishment within the City of Albuquerque, please call 311.
