Product Registration/Certification

Liquid Waste Regulation 20.7.3.400.B.3 NMAC requires that plans for all septic tank design be submitted to NMED for approval, registration and certification.  Additionally, the Wastewater Technical Advisory Committee (WTAC) evaluates technologies for  wastewater treatment and disposal, and makes recommendations to the NMED secretary for listing as approved systems.  NMED maintains lists of approved septic tanks, advanced treatment systems, and drainfield products.
