Grants and Planning Section

The Grants and Planning Section (GPS) provides financial and administrative support to technical sections within the Ground Water Quality Bureau.  GPS staff administer and oversee budgets, federal grants, and special fund payments; execute and oversee contracts; and provide assistance and documentation to EPA regarding Superfund, Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund, and the Brownfields –State Response sites tracking requirements.  For FY09, the GPS is managing over $6.9 million in state, federal and other financing sources.  Approximately $1.6 million of the bureau’s total revenue is allocated to federally funded contracts.
